The United States Dancesport Team was established to provide the opportunity for dancers to compete in annual World Show Dance and Hip Hop Championships. Dancers from around the world will compete for world titles along with dancers representing 40 or more other countries. Many talented young people, because of lack of financial means, are denied the chance to compete. It is the goal of this organization to raise money to supply airfare, hotel, food and team uniforms to approximately 100 dancers each year.

FROM ELISA ALAIO, student - Being a member of TEAM USA was an incredible experience. Words cannot express the feelings I felt each time we advanced to the next level and then to the finals. Receiving the Silver medal and watching our flag being raised was an emotional experience. It was a moment that I will never forget and a dream come true!

FROM BETTY GUNDERSEN, teacher  - As I watched the American flag being raised I was overcome with emotion and pride. These were our dancers representing our country - one of the most exciting moments of a lifetime!
