Regional tour begins January 20 and ends May 21, 2017. Positions not required to travel every weekend, however, a minimum of 6-8 weekend commitment is requested. Most weeks you will travel to the event Friday AM and back home Sunday PM. (Large events may require a Thursday night outbound, Monday AM return.) There are no events Easter weekend.

All positions require that you
be a team player.

Additional Details:

Position has no union jurisdiction. One training weekend is required. Salary, travel, food & double occupancy lodging provided.

Sound Engineer/Emcee

The primary responsibility of the Emcee is to deliver exceptional customer service, run the sound system, and provide an entertaining dialogue and professional image throughout the event. You are the voice of Headliners! Patience, exceptional time management and organizational skills, and a sense of humor required. Ability to set-up and troubleshoot A/V equipment. Load in/load out, coil cables, inventory equipment and assist wherever necessary.

Production Assistant (based in NJ preferred)

Must be able to set-up and troubleshoot A/V equipment (sound, lights, video) and marley floor. Load in/load out, coil cables, inventory equipment and assist staff wherever necessary. Work directly with event manager to decide on lunch/dinner prior to that session and get orders from staff and judges, coffee runs, pick up any food orders that do not deliver, set-up awards, assist with presentation of awards, assist staff when not busy: locating/lining up dancers, give merchandise person breaks. Will also assist with some aspects of photo & video, including shooting B-Roll and selecting/prepping photos/video clips for social media. Driving a box truck to and from event locations may be required and is a plus. Driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Merchandise/Concierge

Set-up/teardown of lobby and display of merchandise. Work with event director to determine the location of dressing rooms. Make a list of room assignments for each studio. Greet everyone with a smile!! You are generally the first person people see when they enter the venue and your interaction will set the tone for the entire event. This position requires a happy go lucky personality – patient, helpful and accommodating at all times.

Photographer (equipment provided)

Set-up of photo system and media sales. Must be comfortable shooting in low light, fast paced conditions and provide at least 30 high quality shots of each routine with little or no need to edit. Driving or assisting with driving of box truck to events is a plus. Driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Videographer (equipment provided)

Set-up of video equiment, projector, and video feeds. Must mainain a smooth shot at all times, zoomed in with comfortable head and foot spacing, and keep camera moves reactive to the shifts and changes in the routines. A focus on motivated movement is a MUST. Video will be live at all times and must be treated as such.

Judges

Anyone interested in becoming a judge must have extensive training and teaching experience. Training in the basic art forms of ballet, jazz and tap required. Additional training in other dance forms such as hip hop, contemporary, acro is always a plus and preferred. Teaching experience of all ages and levels is also required. When submitting a resume, please include detailed information on the above as well as any professional and performing experience, degrees, etc. Must also be able to verbally critique with using proper terminology in a positive, constructive manner.
