Formations (8-24 dancers) 2:30 minutes minimum to 4:00 minutes maximum.

PLACEMENT OF ROUTINES IN PROPER AGE DIVISIONS: A competitors age is determined as it falls within the calendar year (ie: if you are going to be 12 on July 1st, then you are considered 12 the entire year). The International event requires that all dancers in a group or formation be the age of the division they are entered. Older dancers may never dance in a younger division with the following exceptions:
DUOS: The eldest partners date of birth determines the age division. The younger dancer cannot be more then 3 years younger then their partner (ie: 10 & 13).
GROUPS AND FORMATIONS: a dancer no more than two years younger then the lowest age may dance in an older division (ie: Juniors are 12-15. No dancer under 10 can participate in those routines). 50% or more of the dancers must fall within the specified age division.
PRODUCTIONS: the only category where dancers of all ages may perform together. A minimum of 25 dancers required in this category.
SUBSTITUTION OF DANCERS You may substitute no more than 50% of a duo, small group, formation or production. If you qualify a small group of 5, you may fill the additional number of dancers permitted, so you may add 2. The same applies for Formation.
LICENSE: All dancers entering IDO events are required to have a
USA License $10.00 per year made out to USDSF (United States Dancesport Federation). This fee should be submitted with American Team Finals entries.
If you make the US Team the following IDO licensing fees apply:
a. International License $20 made payable to IDO. This is a lifetime fee. If you have a license from a previous year you do not need to pay this.
b. Start Fee - $20 (15 Euro) paid directly to the organizer in Germany.
